  • multiple positions, Baseball Hall of Fame: The 2022 Frank and Peggy Steele Internship Program for Youth Leadership Development will provide students the chance to join the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum team in a 10-week paid summer internship, offering meaningful, hands-on training in numerous professional career fields for those who are chosen from the hundreds of applications received in Cooperstown each year. In addition, interns learn and work in the company of baseball’s best-known personalities during the annual Hall of Fame Weekend and Induction Ceremony. To be considered for the program, students must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at a college or university, having completed at least their sophomore year of studies, or must have just graduated in May of the year of their internship. Intern positions for 2022 are available in the following fields: Collections, Communications, Curatorial, Development/Membership, Education, Library Research, Licensing & Sales, Manuscript Archives, Photo Archives & Digital Collections, Public Programs, Social Media and Special Events. Nineteen internships will be awarded.All applications must be completed online at In order to complete an application, candidates must attach a cover letter and resume to the online application. Only completed applications will be reviewed for acceptance into the program. Applications must be received no later than Jan. 31, 2022.



The boot camp is aimed at helping students prepare for internships, which SJI helps set up through our partners in sports media, including ESPN, USA Today and the Gannett family of newspapers and websites, Yahoo! Sports, Sports Illustrated, the Denver Post and the Houston Chronicle, to name a few.

  • The Dow Jones News Fund is offering an information session for MSU students who are interested in applying for 2022 internships. Positions are offered in business reporting, data journalism, digital media and multiplatform editing.  Dow Jones will hold an information session for MSU students at 3 p.m. Friday, October 8. AWSM will award female college students a $1,000 scholarship and placement in a paid internship in four fields: sports writing, broadcast production, social media and media relations

The summer 2022 placements will be announced this winter

Who is eligible?

The program is open to female college students who have completed at least one year of college (sophomores and above; grad students also eligible). Students graduating in 2022 are allowed to apply.

What does it cost to apply?

There is no application fee, but you must be an AWSM student member to apply. Our student memberships cost $25 and you can sign up here: If you are not already a member, you will be eligible if you begin your membership application by the internship application deadline.

When is the deadline?

Applications are due Oct. 17, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. PST.


• Intern for Field of 68 College Basketball Network: We’re looking for an unpaid intern with the following requirements: 1) Deep knowledge of college basketball 2) Experience with Adobe Premiere and 3) Ability to edit videos. The position will likely be around 4 hours per week. We’re looking for someone who can work with podcast hosts. Must have laptop and Adobe Premiere to produce both podcasts and edit videos.
