1. Congratulations to MSU Sports JRN grad Jonathan Yales for landing a fantastic internship with Nate Silver’s ESPN site, FiveThirtyEight.com.
2. The Sports Journalism Study Abroad crew had their first meeting, and discussed the upcoming journey to Paris and Rome. Profs. Dickerson and Gerstner are excited to lead a group of 22 to learn about sports and sports journalism in this innovative new program.
3. Are you checking all the internship, scholarship and job postings that are popping up on our pages? If not – you should! There are a lot of opportunities open across the board. If you’re looking for an immediate opening, summer internships….go look. There’s a variety of openings to fit all ranges of interests.
4. Thanks to Detroit Free Press Assistant Sports Editor Nick Cotsonika for discussing feature writing and sports with JRN 432. The takeaway? Report, report, report and take your audience to places they have never been. Great advice!!! Thanks for your time!
