We’re so proud of ALL of our sports journalism students. They’re winning scholarships, landing great internships and jobs, and doing wonderful things in the world.

Time to give some love to our Association for Women in Sports Media chapter at Michigan State – because the group has been taking home the hardware the past year! They were AWSM’s chapter of the year in 2016, and now, they have taken home MSU Student Life’s 2016-17 Professional Organization of the year honors!

President Jazzy Teen and Officer Laurel Young were on hand to accept the plaque from MSU during a ceremony at the Kellogg Center on Wednesday. AWSM was selected as the top professional organization at MSU because of its member development programs and strength of membership. AWSM@MSU has female and male members, and is consistently helping everybody get stronger on their career paths.
