New in 2017! Our sports journalism and media students are working hard each week to create, shoot, edit, tape and produce our own halftime show, “The Spartan Sports Report”,  for the Big Ten Network U. The show is seen during halftime of soccer games and other Olympic sports, both in the online broadcasts and on the in-stadium/arena videoboards.

The group ranges from freshmen getting their first taste of sports journalism, up to seasoned seniors. Everybody gets a hand, learning how to produce a story, shoot video, do stand-ups, direct and be the anchor.

It’s a great experience, and we’re proud to be the first Big Ten school to develop our own halftime show!
